When using a search engine (such as Google.com), research results provide a snippet of text that allows you to decide if the site Is Related To Your interest or not.

For example, here is what appears when you search for "Blogger".

The text that appears under the link matches the description of the research.

If you do not provide a description for your blog, search engines create for you with the content of it.

To create your own description for the search, go to Settings | Search Preferences and click Edit next to "Description" to display an input field.

Select Yes, write your text, then click Save Changes.

Examples of description of the research blogs:

"A blog about social networking and web design."
"The newspaper of my year in London."

When this feature is enabled, a "Description of research" is displayed in the panel "Message settings" to allow you to enter a search description for individual articles.
