The popularity of WordPress has stirred the curiosity of hackers and pirates. Security breaches , on the free version are numerous. A good knowledge of basic rules and plugins to secure your site is essential if you want to enjoy your website.

If the plugins add extra functionality to WordPress, they have the tendency to consume bandwidth resources that may slow down your site and reduce the experience of Internet surfing it.
