Search engine most used by Internet users, Google still has some secrets for SEOs. With nearly 200 combined criteria, Google formula is sometimes complex but reports to a single goal: to provide the relevant quality content to your visitors. Among these criteria constantly changing, we will discuss 10 points needed to optimize the SEO of your pages on Google.
1. SEO strategy :
To please Google, it should also appeal to readers, so think about what is natural for them. Offer relevant and quality content to your visitors should be the basis of your strategy that consists of 3 steps: choose a keyword from a topic, write the article naturally (without thinking SEO) and optimize Article for SEO.
2. Keyword :
Keywords are terms which must be present on every page of your site. They define and describe your site. The average frequency of keywords is between 1.5 and 2% of the page.
Consider also phrases that Internet users are likely to search in Google to get to your site or your competitor.
3. The "long tail"
To bring up your keywords, use phrases called "long tail". Expressions of three terms or more, less often sought but that can be positioned more easily. More effective in converting that expressions "behind head" very competitive terms on which it is difficult to reference quickly. the average query Internet has 4 words. You will have many more chances to compete with 4 words with 2 words. Synonyms or similar terms may also be effective.
4. Title :
The page title is the first thing the reader sees when queried, so it attaches any importance. Every page on your site has a "TITLE" tag should be well informed. Title must contain less than 70 characters to be visible in full on Google, and it is best to insert the key word in the beginning.
Google also looks at sub titles and first paragraph. Insert your keyword in a subtitle, and the expressions of the long tail or synonyms in others. Again think the natural where Google will retrieve!
5. Text Length :
The most long articles are better positioned: we note that the average length of the top 10 results is growing. To rank a page should provide value and this can rarely be done in 200 words.
If your page includes a video or computer graphics it is more difficult for Google to judge the relevance of that page, it will therefore also rely on the number of shares on social networks.
6. The meta description of your pages :
The meta description is the text that appears under the title in search pages. In displaying query results, the meta description consists of 160 characters (2 lines) that appears below the title. It must be vendor and relevant. This is a crucial parameter that will decide the reader to click on your page or not. If you leave these meta description tags, Google will display two lines piochées in your page content and the result may not be attractive at all.
7. The quality of your site URL :
A URL also provides information to the reader, it must be explicit so that the reader knows what deals page. Over a URL is short, the more memorable for visitors. So be careful not to end up with too long addresses, or configured and incomprehensible to the reader.
8. External Links :
Some SEOs are no links to the outside of their fear that their site visitors to go outside it's not a usual behavior for Google, then consider the site as a black hole and penalizes SEO. The best practice is to add links to sites dealing a close subject, but not competitors.
9. Type of content :
The texts are not the only form of content: images, video, infographics, podcasts or other content are possible. However, you should know that Google does not read the image content. Neither the ALT tag or image TITLE tag or file name used to reference the images, it is the text located close to the image that is important. So take advantage of the diversity of your content to remain natural, but it is better not to flood your site with images and prefer a presentation gallery and that it is accompanied by a text content consistency.
10. A site "clean" and ergonomic for optimized loading times
In addition to examine the text content of your site, Google often puts his nose in the code and do not like mistakes. A site well mounted with a readable structure will be favored. It is the same for the ergonomic interface load times will be optimized and facilitate reading your pages by the Google spiders spiders (which scour the web and index the pages visited.)
Google is constantly working to improve its algorithm. Important changes are coming, especially related to the display of results and referencing images. Getting your website is a long-term work that begins at conception. Competition is tough and you can quickly lose your ranking if you do not continue your efforts daily!
